Nominate Someone Who Deserves Flowers & Support The United Way

CINCINNATI, OH– November 25, 2009 –As recognition to those who do something special every day, and to encourage people to get in the holiday spirit, Jones the Florist is giving away a flower arrangement a day for 30 days to one recipient each business day, from Friday, November 27 through Thursday, December 31. Nominations are being taken by WCPO-TV Channel 9 via phone at 513-749-9999 each weekday beginning November 27. One selected recipient per day will receive an arrangement, valued at $ 50. delivered to their home or office locally, with a note from the person who nominated them.

“There are so many individuals who go above and beyond every day, or who just do something special that impacts the lives of others. We thought the idea of 30 Days of Giving would be an ideal way to recognize them, while encouraging everyone to thank those who are important to them”, said David Fisher, President, Jones the Florist.

The 30 Days of Giving also encourages giving back to the local community, with any Jones the Florist or Jack Herb orders benefiting The United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Earlier this year, Jones created an effort aimed at increasing fundraising for the United Way through an incremental donation program dubbed ‘Send Jones+Live United’ tied to all Jones the Florist and Jack Herb Florist floral and gift orders, through December 31, 2009. For all orders, whether a business or an individual order that’s delivered locally or sent out of town via the FTD wire service, Jones the Florist will give a percentage of each floral or gift sale to United Way.
