NORTHLICH, A 70-YEAR-OLD INDEPENDENT CINCINNATI MARKETING AGENCY, MOVES TO MIDTOWN AND REBRANDS WITH A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH

Fifty-Person Agency at the Forefront of Tapping Data Insights for Marketing Unveils Stratos

CINCINNATI, Ohio – October 4, 2018 – Northlich, an independent Cincinnati-based marketing and advertising agency, has relocated from its longtime offices in the Sawyer Point Building on Pete Rose Way to the Cincinnati Club Building adjacent to Piatt Park at the corner of Garfield Place and Race Street. The new Northlich offices comprise the entire eighth floor, totaling over 13,000 square feet. Northlich is also formally launching a new division called Stratos, a healthcare marketing offering that uses deep behavioral data to drive insights that guide strategic focus and results.

"Our former space served us well, but it was time for a big change," said Kathy Selker, President and CEO of Northlich. "We are going from cubicles and being on the outskirts of downtown to every staffer having their own office in a vibrant area of the city. Being able to sit in Piatt Park or walk to nearby restaurants is important for our people and our culture."

The launch of Stratos is very much in line with Northlich’s history of building brands. The firm’s enhanced focus on data helps it guide the reinvention of brands using richer data sources (including big data and predictive modeling) to inform strategy. Stratos is particularly effective for complicated brands, such as those competing in the healthcare marketing environment. "This is why we’ve crystallized our healthcare offering under the Stratos brand, which uses health and behavioral data to drive strategy for healthcare clients," Kathy said.

The data-centric approach is powerful for brand reinvention and support across a spectrum of industries. Northlich used this insight-driven approach to refresh its own brand and highlight the firm’s new energy and focus. Stratos has also been instrumental in the recent relaunch of Gold Star as a challenger brand locally.

The agency has named Liz Phillips, formerly Vice President and Managing Director, to the post of Chief Client and Strategy Officer, a new role in the firm. Liz will oversee all strategy, client accounts and agency teams. Liz has significant business-to-business, retail, nonprofit and healthcare marketing expertise. Northlich will celebrate its 70th anniversary in 2019.
