LAROSA’S BUDDY CARD SALE TO BENEFIT FREESTORE FOODBANK SCHOOL PANTRIES

Effort Will Help Stock Nearly 60 Pantries Throughout the Tri-State

CINCINNATI, OHIO –April 4, 2022 – LaRosa’s, Greater Cincinnati’s real family pizzeria, is once again selling its popular Buddy Cards to support Freestore Foodbank school pantries now through June 5, 2022. With over 90,000 local children experiencing food insecurity daily, proceeds from the effort will help stock year-round school pantries across 19 Tri-State counties.

        The Freestore Foodbank established permanent food pantries in 58 schools in Greater Cincinnati to better serve families in need by being closer to their homes. In addition to providing shelf-stable and frozen food items, Freestore Foodbank school pantries provide health and hygiene products as well. The program serves over 65,000 people in nearly 17,000 households.

        “Our efforts to provide kids and their families with food and other resources goes beyond eliminating hunger. Our goal is to create a positive source of stability and become a respite to those in our own community,” said Kurt Reiber, CEO, Freestore Foodbank. LaRosa’s will contribute $5 to the Freestore Foodbank from every $10 Buddy Card purchased by Guests at all Greater Cincinnati LaRosa’s Family Pizzerias from now until June 5. Each Buddy Card features 14 ‘buy-one large pizza and get a large cheese pizza free’ offers for pick-up and dine-in and is valid for a year.

Buddy Cards are available at LaRosa’s Family Pizzerias in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana from today through June 5, 2022. For nearly 30 years, LaRosa’s Buddy Card program has delivered an effective way for local organizations to raise money to fund their activities.
