LIMITED-EDITION BRAILLE BOURBON DROP CELEBRATES 115 YEARS OF CINCINNATI ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Special Collaboration with Northside Distilling Supports Individuals with Vision Loss
Cincinnati, OH – September 1, 2026 – Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CABVI) and Northside Distilling Co. will launch CABVI’s limited-edition Braille Bourbon at an event on September 15. The release of this special 115-proof bourbon honors 115 years of CABVI’s impact promoting inclusion for individuals who are blind or visually impaired and is limited to an edition of 115.
“Braille Bourbon gives us a meaningful way to bring people together around accessibility and inclusion,” said Aaron Bley, Chief Mission Officer of CABVI. “Celebrating 115 years is an incredible milestone for CABVI, and we’re grateful to everyone who has helped us get here and continues to support our mission.” Tasting notes reveal subtle caramel and vanilla flavors imparted by the oak, complemented by a natural sweetness from the corn-forward mash bill. The finish of Braille Bourbon delivers a distinctive rye spice and a satisfying bite that adds balance and complexity.
The Braille Bourbon bottle features a signature braille label, and each bottle is paired with a commemorative, limited-edition Rookwood Pottery decanter at $115 for each set. A portion of every purchase will support CABVI services that empower individuals adapting to vision loss.
The Braille Bourbon release event will take place Tuesday, September 15, 5:30-8:00pm, at Northside Distilling Co., located at 922 Race Street, and will include German food from the historic Schmidt’s Sausage Truck, a live broadcast with Jon Jon from KISS 107.1, and a chance to purchase one of just 115 Braille Bourbon bottles produced. The collaboration brings together bourbon and accessibility to raise awareness and support services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Through the support of year-round sponsors Blinds Done Right, Brandience, Cincinnati Eye Institute, Faith Financial Advisors, Inc., First Financial Bank, Kemba Credit Union, Shurtape Technologies, Taft and Vorys, CABVI can host events and initiatives like Braille Bourbon.
