ANNOUNCING FUN FEST 2026, THE FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT AT OTR’S WASHINGTON PARK
Day of Fun, Music and Community Supports CABVI’s Mission to Empower Individuals Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired
Cincinnati, OH – May 11, 2026 – Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CABVI), the region’s leading nonprofit providing comprehensive services for people who are blind or visually impaired, will host Fun Fest 2026 on Saturday, June 6, 2026, 12:00-3:00pm at Washington Park, 1230 Elm Street in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine. The free admission, family-friendly celebration will feature:
- Cornhole, games and activities for all ages
- Opportunities to meet FC Cincinnati’s mascot Gary, and Cincinnati Reds mascot Gapper
- Live music from The Netherton Varner Band
- Food trucks and concessions
- Raffles, split-the-pot and an online auction
“Fun Fest is more than just a community celebration. It’s an opportunity to bring people together in one of Cincinnati’s most vibrant gathering spaces, Washington Park, while raising awareness of services for individuals who are blind or visually impaired,” said Aaron Bley, Chief Mission Officer of CABVI. “Through immersive sensory activities, entertainment and community engagement, this event reflects CABVI’s mission to empower people with vision loss to live independently. We’re excited to welcome families for an afternoon of fun, connection and inclusion.” Mr. Bley continued, “The unique sensory experiences during Fun Fest help to provide an idea of what it’s like to live with a visual impairment.”
Tickets for games and food will be available for purchase during the free event. Bidding for the online auction, which includes tickets to local festivals, sporting events, concerts and more, begins Friday, May 29. For more information, visit cincyblind.org/funfest.
While some seating will be available, guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for the lawn. Convenient parking is available in Washington Park’s secure, staffed garage.
